Mama with no melons and plenty of sauce

My mama was born in Balestrate, Sicily, where every recipe was made by instinct. No measuring cups, just heart. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she kept cooking through it all, teaching me that strength comes in many flavors.
Now I’m sharing her recipes through videos so her legacy can live on. One sauce, one laugh, one meal at a time.
After my own double mastectomy, I returned to the kitchen to reclaim my joy. The smell of garlic in olive oil, the sound of sauce bubbling. That’s where healing begins.
This isn’t just about food; it’s about living boldly, loving your body, and never letting fear take away your appetite for life.
Each dish I share connects me to my mother, my heritage, and every woman who’s ever cooked her way through pain.
Food heals. Stories heal. Laughter heals. That’s what this journey is all about. Serving love with a side of sass.
