My mother was a breast cancer survivor. She faced that battle with incredible strength and grace, and we were blessed to have many beautiful years with her after her mastectomy. But life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. Years later, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and eventually, we lost her to complications from the disease.
My mom was so much more than her illnesses. She was the heart of our home. She poured love into everything she did, especially her cooking. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and the most delicious smells you could imagine.
To honor her memory, I created a cookbook filled with 50 of our family’s favorite recipes. These dishes that carry her spirit, her love, and all the stories we shared around the table. A few copies are still out there in bookstores, but I’ve decided not to print any more. Instead, I want her legacy to live on in a different way.
So, I’ve created a website where you can download her recipes and make them part of your own family traditions. And here on YouTube, I’ll be sharing each one with you; starting with this, the very first of 50.
My mother always believed in the power of paying it forward, of spreading kindness in every small way you can. This is my way of continuing that tradition… and sharing a piece of her heart with all of you.
Enjoy. ❤️
